Child Therapy

“Beneath every behaviour there is a feeling and beneath each feeling there is a need. When we meet that need rather than focusing on the behaviour, we begin to deal with the cause, not the symptoms.”

Building Resilience Through Play

This belief lies at the heart of my work with children age 4 and up. Using a play-based, child-led approach, I help children understand and express their emotions, build healthy coping skills, develop confidence, and strengthen resilience. Rooted in attachment theory, therapy also supports parents and caregivers to deepen connection, strengthen emotional regulation, and create the safety children need to thrive.

Whether your child is experiencing school challenges, difficulty managing emotions, relationship struggles, or grief and loss, therapy provides a safe space where every feeling is welcome. Through play, creativity, and evidence-based approaches, children are supported in processing their experiences in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate.

Working with children and families has always been a passion of mine. My experience supporting hospitalized children and families navigating chronic health conditions has deepened my understanding of how early experiences shape emotional wellbeing. My goal is to help families move beyond managing behaviours and toward building deeper understanding, stronger connection, and lasting resilience.
